Geshe Thupten Tenzin is a fully accomplished and renowned Geshe of Ganden Shartse Mahayana University. He was ordained a Buddhist monk at the age of eight and studied basic Buddhist philosophy at Spiti Monastery for nine years. At the age of seventeen he went to Ganden Shartse Mahayana University for his higher studies. There he completed the study of all the divisions of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and was awarded the great Geshe Lharampa degree in 1994. He then studied at the Tantric Collage and has received a great many teachings from His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Kyabje Trijang Dorje Chang, Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, Kyabje Zemey Rinpoche, Kyabje Lati Rinpoche, Sharpa Chojey Lobsang Nyima Rinpoche, and many others. He is currently working with Kyabje Trijang Chocktrul Rinpoche to further his studies.
